Every month - weather permitting - we strap our babies and toddlers in slings, front packs or back packs and go for an afternoon hike. We stick to maintained trails that are gentle enough to hike with a baby but strenuous enough to be more than just a walk, and we go as slowly as we need to.

Bring your baby and a good pair of shoes and join us. We hike one Saturday a month.

Lithia Park
2:00pm

It's spring in Lithia park! We just got word yesterday from our spy in Ashland -- after the latest of her scouting missions -- that the cherry trees are (finally!) blooming. So join us at 2pm this Sunday (yep, Sunday, not Saturday this time), April 20th, for a hike through Ashland's beautiful park. We'll meet in front of the Ashland Community Center (across the street from Lithia Park), hike out along the gardens on the northern edge of the park to the upper duck pond, along the creekside trail, and then return via the upper trails. The first half is very easy, the second half more strenuous, with a couple of steep places and some fallen logs across the trail.

Click here for a map to the community center, which is at 73 Winburn Way. You can get directions using this map.

As always, the hike depends on the weather. If in doubt, you can call David's cell phone on the day of the hike: 541-659-7982.
